Model IT Ltd was founded in 2007 to provide services to the financial sector. We offer our customers a possibility to benefit from over 80 man-years of work experience in the industry, a professional team and powerful tools. The long teamwork history of our staff members is equally important as long working experience. Our team is highly educated and we have the capacity to offer solutions even for the most challenging problems.

Our key staff members:

Osmo Jauri, Dr.Tech., M.Sc. (Econ.) Osmo has long-time experience with working in the financial and IT sector in a number of different roles, from a specialist up to a board member. Osmo has participated in IT projects in various roles: as a customer, a supplier, a project leader and a project manager. Osmo combines extensive experience in the field of modelling with practical knowledge on banking and insurance business. In his career Osmo has been employed, among others, by Evli Bank, Garantia Insurance Company, Kansallis-Osake-Pankki and Finnish Option Exchange.

Pekka Häkkinen, B.Sc. (IT). Pekka has participated in system development projects in several different roles: a supplier, a customer, a developer, a project worker and a project manager and project leader. Pekka is well familiar with product development and delivery processes, and has long-time experience in leading people and projects. Pekka has been involved in developing a number of information systems within different areas of the investment banking business. Pekka has been previously employed, for example, by Evli Bank, Profit Software, Meridea Financial Software and IBM.

Timo Salminen, M.Sc. (Tech.). Timo has comprehensive experience in the field of quantitative analysis in finance and asset management. Timo’s particular fields of expertise are mathematical models and algorithms, high performance computing and simulation technologies. Timo is also an eye for developing the visual appearance of reports and user interfaces. Timo has been previously employed by Evli Bank.

Kjell Lönnqvist, M.Sc. (IT). Kjell has participated in system development in various roles including a project worker, a developper and a consultant. Kjell's particular fields are application lifespan management, testing and quality systems. Kjell has been previously employed, for example, by Compuware, Evli Bank and Åbo Akademi.

Jussi Osola, M.Sc. (Pol.). Jussi is an experienced senior with decade long outstanding career with international banking. Jussi's background is a perfect combination of banking and a career inside IT industry. Jussi is always seeking for new innovations and business development opportunities. Jussi's previous engagements include Logica, Capgemini, Sampo/Leonia Bank and Kansallis-Osake-Pankki.
